Build for the climateyou actually live in.
Bring tropical comfort into the brief from day one: insulated construction, UPVC double glazing and an envelope designed to limit unwanted heat gain, with the specification agreed for your site and home.

Bring the parts together.
Site, concept and infrastructureBegin with the place and the way you want to live.
JPLT can discuss concept and design development, practical site planning and infrastructure for selected projects. The early conversation should bring the land and the home together: access, the intended living spaces, privacy, landscape and the services the project will need.
If phased growth is important, it belongs in the initial brief. A first usable stage needs to relate to the eventual home rather than become an obstacle to it. Architectural, structural and statutory work must be handled or approved by suitably qualified professionals where required.
How phased growth shapes the brief
Construction and the tropical envelopeThe building itself, from structure to openings.
Potential delivery scope includes construction, insulated building systems and UPVC windows and doors. The newer Jurassic Park approach treats the envelope as a connected system, with the aim of reducing heat transfer, supporting quieter interiors and making everyday cooling more effective.
The specific assembly must suit the site and design. Existing structures need assessment before they are reused or extended; a new building needs its own engineering and permissions. JPLT’s experience informs the approach, while the project’s technical documents define what will actually be built.

Services and finished living spacesElectrical, plumbing, energy and the spaces you use.
The scope can extend to electrical and plumbing work, solar / energy systems where appropriate, kitchens, bathrooms and swimming pools. Considering these alongside the building helps make the finished home the focus of the discussion.
Each system and finish belongs in an agreed specification. Solar, batteries, pool equipment and appliances are not universal inclusions simply because they can form part of a project. Your priorities, site conditions and the scope agreed for your home determine the delivery.
- Coordinate services with the construction plan.
- Agree the equipment and finish schedule.
- Keep property-specific energy choices explicit.
Coordination and the agreed projectA clear scope, with the right professional responsibilities.
Project coordination connects the concept, construction, services and finishes. Modern digital and AI-assisted tools can help explore and communicate the work, while practical judgement on the site and qualified technical review remain essential.
The starting point is a project conversation, not a fixed package. Responsibilities, professional appointments, scope, budget and programme need to be agreed for the particular work. No fixed prices or completion dates are offered on this page.
Discuss the ScopeA useful first conversation
Bring the land. Bring the questions.
Tell Dominic where the land is, what you want to build and whether you have a survey, drawings or an existing structure. Include the way you expect to use the home, the budget range you are considering and any reason to build in stages.
You do not need a finished concept to begin the conversation. The next useful step is to understand the site and define the work that needs to be resolved.
